Ancient cast amulet of Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To Phromrangsi), commissioned in B.E. 2495 by Luang Pu Nak of Wat Rakang Kosittaram, Bangkok, as a memorial and object of veneration dedicated to Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To), a venerable master of great significance in the history of Thai Buddhism. Luang Pu Nak served as abbot of Wat Rakang Kosittaram and was a renowned master of blessed object creation, particularly of Somdet amulets and cast images created to continue the vow of Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To). His blessed objects have enjoyed continuous popularity among collectors. Wat Rakang Kosittaram is a royal monastery situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, with origins tracing back to the Ayutthaya period. It underwent major restoration during the reign of King Rama I. The temple served as the residence of Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To Phromrangsi) and is the birthplace of the renowned Somdet amulets of Wat Rakang, earning it recognition as one of the most important temples in the Thai amulet world.
