Chuchok Poon Sawat Amulet by Luang Pho Sompong, Wat Mai Pin Kliao, Nakhon Pathom, B.E. 2536, Triple Metal Plating, Rare
Description
This Chuchok Poon Sawat amulet was created by Luang Pho Sompong of Wat Mai Pin Kliao, Nakhon Pathom Province, in B.E. 2536. The amulet is crafted in the form of a chuchok, following ancient beliefs depicted in Buddhist texts and the Jataka tales. The chuchok is regarded as a symbol of those blessed with wealth and prosperity through merit and karma, and has been continuously produced as a sacred amulet in many Buddhist traditions. This piece is made of metal with triple metal plating—a rare format seldom seen in present times. The plating process combines the hues of gold, silver, and copper in a single form, creating outstanding beauty and distinctive character. Wat Mai Pin Kliao is an ancient temple of Nakhon Pathom Province, located in an area long connected to the agricultural community along the Ta Chin River basin. Over the decades, the temple has played an important role as a center for Buddhist activities and as a spiritual anchor for the local people.
