Description
Elephant Wan mixed with Kholong powder, Great Charm is one of the sacred objects created by Ajarn Chum Chaiyakiri in B.E. 2519, based on his accumulated knowledge of auspicious wan formulas and the sacred object creation methods that he studied and inherited. The purpose of this creation was to bestow upon the faithful and those who participated in merit-making, as well as to continue the southern Thai tradition of sacred object creation. Ajarn Chum Chaiyakiri (B.E. 2460–2522) was a lay devotee who played an important role in the Thai sacred amulet field. He was recognized as an expert in ancient rituals, the collection of materials, and the coordination of several major Buddhabhiseka ceremonies. He served as the master of ceremonies for the Buddhabhiseka of famous sacred objects created by venerated masters and institutions throughout the country.
