Description

Luang Pho Pern Thitkuno, also known as Phra Udom Prachanarat, was the former abbot of Wat Bang Phra in Nakhon Pathom Province. He was born on August 12, B.E. 2466 in Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province. He was ordained on May 23, B.E. 2491 at Wat Bang Phra. He studied Buddhist scriptures and occult sciences from many masters. He was involved in sacred tattoo arts and the creation of amulets at Wat Bang Phra. He later took the position of abbot of Wat Bang Phra in B.E. 2518. He played a role in developing the temple, including work in education and public welfare. In B.E. 2538 he received an honorary doctorate in Buddhist Studies. Luang Pho Pern passed away on June 30, B.E. 2545 at the age of 79, with 54 years of monastic life.
