Luang Pho Pern Khun Phaen Amulet, Wat Bang Phra B.E. 2541
Description
Khun Phaen amulet by Luang Pho Pern, Wat Bang Phra, B.E. 2541, featuring tiger yantra design with double takrut blessing. Luang Pho Pern Thitakuno was born on August 12, B.E. 2466. He ordained as a Buddhist monk in B.E. 2491 and received the monastic name Thitakuno. After ordination, he studied the Dharma and undertook pilgrimages to various regions. He was invited to become abbot of Wat Bang Phra, Nakhon Pathom Province, in B.E. 2518. Luang Pho Pern played an important role in the restoration and development of the temple, including educational and public welfare work. He became renowned for his mastery of sacred tattoo and yantra inscriptions in the Wat Bang Phra lineage, which continues to this day. The tiger yantra became one of the distinctive characteristics of this temple's tradition. He created and blessed many auspicious objects, including coins, powder amulets, and talismans. He was later granted the ecclesiastical title Phra Udompratchanath. Luang Pho Pern passed away in B.E. 2545 at age 79, having spent 54 Buddhist years in the monkhood.
