Description
Luang Pho Sai was born in B.E. 2436. He ordained as a Buddhist monk at age 16 and received full ordination in B.E. 2456, taking the name Tissaro. He studied Buddhist scriptures, Thai language, Khmer language, and science under Luang Pho Huap at Wat Samakkhi Yarama before returning to observe the Buddhist retreat season at Wat Chong Lom. In B.E. 2462, he was appointed abbot of Wat Chong Lom and played an instrumental role in the temple's restoration and development, overseeing the construction and renovation of the ordination hall, triple tower, preaching hall, vihara, Buddhist studies school, and public school.
