Phra Nuea Prom amulet in gold powder material, commissioned in B.E. 2528 by Wat Khok Mayom in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, and received the compassionate blessing from Luang Pu Du Phromphanya of Wat Sa Kaew. This is one of the auspicious objects created during the final years of Luang Pu Du's life, which were made to support the restoration and Buddhist activities of various temples. Luang Pu Du Phromphanya (B.E. 2447–2533), former abbot of Wat Sa Kaew, was a revered Buddhist scholar and teacher widely respected for his practice of Dhamma and his teaching of the Three Jewels—the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha—as refuge. He consistently emphasized that Buddhists should create merit through observing precepts, developing meditation, and chanting prayers in conjunction with living life with mindfulness. Phra Nuea Prom is an auspicious object designed with the Buddha image enshrined above the Brahma figure, conveying the Buddhist principle that the Buddha is the supreme teacher, and that even Brahma and all devas revere and bow to the Dhamma.
