Description
Luang Pu On Sa Sukaro was a Dhammayut Kammatthana lineage monk and founder of Wat Prachaachumpol Phattana Ram, also known as Wat Nong Yai, in Udon Thani Province. He was a disciple in the lineage of Phra Ajahn Man Bhuradhatto, which represents the forest tradition with significant role in the Kammatthana branch of Thai Buddhism. This Buddha image was cast in the form of Phra Pid Ta Chan Loi, following the characteristics of floating Phra Loi images found in the creation of sacred objects by many Kammatthana lineage institutions during the 25th Buddhist century.
