Wat Saphan Sung is an ancient temple located in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, with origins tracing back to the late Ayutthaya period. It is recognized as one of the central region's most important Buddhist learning centers, particularly renowned for its specialized tradition of crafting Phra Pid Ta amulets and inscribing sacred numerological scripts and spells, a lineage passed down continuously through many generations. The temple's reputation became widely known during the era of Luang Pu Iem, the legendary master who established the renowned Phra Pid Ta tradition of Wat Saphan Sung. This sacred knowledge was subsequently transmitted to Luang Pho Thong Suk, a close disciple and inheritor of the authentic formula.
