Description
This Phra Pid Ta amulet with Yant Ang back print and powder mixed with lacquer material is one of the sacred objects continuously created by Luang Pho Pan of Wat Khruea Wai, Chachoengsao Province, during the period of approximately B.E. 2490–2517. It follows the tradition of creating closed-eye amulets established by Luang Pho Kaew of Wat Khruea Wai, a revered master of Chachoengsao, whose lineage of powder amulet creation Luang Pho Pan subsequently continued at Wat Khruea Wai. This Phra Pid Ta version was created using powder mixed with lacquer, which represents an important distinctive characteristic of the Wat Khruea Wai amulet lineage. The lacquer coating helps preserve the amulet body and creates a unique patina that develops over time. The back bears the Yant Ang sacred geometry, which is the origin of the name "Yant Ang back print," representing one of the molds used in Luang Pho Pan's amulet creation.
