The Phra Pid Ta Mae Krua Edition is a powder amulet created by Luang Pho Thong Suk Intachoto, former abbot of Wat Saphan Sung in Nonthaburi Province. Luang Pho Thong Suk was a respected Buddhist scholar who continued the famous lineage of Buddhist amulet teachings from Wat Saphan Sung. This amulet features a compact size and was created to distribute during the temple's merit-making ceremonies. It became known among collectors as the 'Mae Krua Edition' (Mother of the Kitchen Edition) based on its original distribution purpose. Wat Saphan Sung is an ancient temple located in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, with history dating back to the late Ayutthaya period. The temple is recognized as an important Buddhist study center in central Thailand, particularly renowned for its continuous lineage of expertise in creating Phra Pid Ta amulets and inscribing sacred yantra numerals passed down through many generations. The temple gained widespread recognition during the era of Luang Pu Iem, the legendary master who established Wat Saphan Sung's famous Phra Pid Ta tradition, before the teachings were inherited by Luang Pho Thong Suk, his close disciple and successor.
