Plad Khik Khru Bucha Size by Luang Pho Klan of Wat Intharawas, Ang Thong
Description
Luang Pho Klan Thammacho was the former abbot of Wat Intharawas, a highly renowned and celebrated senior monk during the reign of King Rama V–VI. He received the transmission of Buddhist teachings from many venerable masters and had numerous distinguished disciples, one of whom was Luang Pho Chuea of Wat Mai Bamphen Bun, who inherited a portion of his teachings. Plad Khik is considered an ancient Thai amulet that has been part of Thai society for a long time, particularly within the lineage and teachings of Luang Pho Klan, which is recognized as one of the important schools in the Central Region. Amulets of this type are typically created in both portable and bucha (altar) sizes, intended to be kept and preserved in homes or businesses. Plad Khik Khru in bucha size thus represents an amulet that reflects both the craftsmanship and the doctrinal history of Luang Pho Klan's lineage exceptionally well.
