Description
Somdet Phra Phutthacharn To commemorative amulet, 100 year ceremony, Wat Rakang Kohasitraram, B.E. 2515, middle print, gold wash. The amulet of Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To Prommarangsee) was created for the 100 year ceremony of Wat Rakang Kohasitraram in B.E. 2515 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the passing of Somdet Phra Phutthacharn To, an important monk of Bangkok and founder of the legend of Phra Somdet of Wat Rakang. This amulet was created following the style of old-era monk amulets, and this example is made of gold wash material, which was one of the materials used in the B.E. 2515 ceremony. The Buddhist consecration ceremony was held at Wat Rakang Kohasitraram and received attention from both devotees and Somdet amulet collectors due to its direct connection to Wat Rakang.
