Rooster Amulet (Luang Pu Suang Model Upper Dip Saturn 5) Lead/Copper - Wat Tham Phrom Sawat, B.E. 2555
Description
Auspicious rooster-form charm object by Luang Pu Suang Worasoottho, abbot of Wat Tham Phrom Sawat, Lopburi Province. The rooster form is a symbol found in many amulet and blessing object designs by Luang Pu Suang Worasoottho, abbot of Wat Tham Phrom Sawat, Lopburi Province. This symbol derives from both his personal history and Buddhist teachings. Beyond being born in the Year of the Rooster, Luang Pu Suang also referenced Buddhist scriptures that tell of five Buddhas who, in a previous life before being born as humans, were once born as roosters and demonstrated virtues of sacrifice for the benefit of others. For this reason, Luang Pu Suang incorporated the rooster form as part of his auspicious object creation work, as a symbol serving as remembrance of goodness and sacrifice.
