Description

Tiger skin takrut amulets created in B.E. 2539 by Luang Pho Thiang of Wat Khao Kradong, Buriram Province. Luang Pho Thiang is a respected and revered scholar-monk of the Buriram area and surrounding regions. These sacred amulets were created to be presented to those who participated in merit-making and contributed funds toward the temple's development. Tiger skin was inscribed with sacred letters and rolled into takrut form according to ancient amulet-making traditions. Wat Khao Kradong is an important temple located in the Khao Kradong volcanic mountain area of Buriram Province, a famous tourist destination and archaeological site of the province. Within the temple stands a large Buddha image and the temple serves as a center of Buddhist faith for devotees in the region for a long time.
