Khun Phan Zum Ruean Gaew Amulet by Luang Pho Daeng, Wat Thung Khok, Suphanburi, B.E. 2499

Description

Wat Thung Khok is located in Suphanburi Province and is an ancient temple within the Thung Khok community, with a long-standing relationship to the way of life of local residents, serving as both a place for religious practice and the center of the community. The temple's name became known in amulet circles through Luang Pho Daeng, the revered master monk of Wat Thung Khok, who created amulets in many forms, particularly powder amulets, clay amulets, and Khun Phan pressed amulets during the middle of the 25th Buddhist century. Suphanburi is an area with a long tradition of creating Khun Phan amulets. It is found that revered monks in many temples throughout the province adopted the Khun Phan form and Zum Ruean Gaew design to create blessed objects in later eras.
