It is a sacred object made during the time when the Venerable distributed the Buddha's teachings to the Thai and Buddhist communities in the Thai-Malaysian border areas. Luang Pho Khon was a highly respected Buddhist elder in Kelantan State, playing an important role in preserving and propagating Buddhism among the Thai-Siamese communities in Malaysia. His amulets were mostly created and distributed to devotees who participated in merit-making and were used to support the restoration and development of the temple. Wat Bang Sae is located in Kelantan State, Malaysia, and serves as a Theravada Buddhist temple that has long been the centre of the Thai-Siamese ethnic community in the area. Beyond being a place for religious practice, the temple has played a role in preserving the Thai language, culture, and traditions of the Kelantan community.
