Luang Pu Key Kittiyanon was a venerated Buddhist master renowned in Surin Province. He maintained his monastic residence and deep connection with Wat Sri Lamyong in Prasart District, Surin Province. Luang Pu Key studied Buddhist scriptures and esoteric knowledge following the teachings of respected local masters. Throughout his monastic life, he commissioned the creation of numerous amulets and blessed objects in various forms. His sacred objects include powder amulets, coins, and charms created according to different occasions. The Phra Khun Phan reverse Phra Rahu Water Blessing B.E. 2557 is one of the blessed objects associated with his name. The edition name "Water Blessing B.E. 2557" refers to the year of creation in B.E. 2557. The reverse features Phra Rahu, a figure found in the beliefs of many Thai amulet-making traditions. According to these beliefs, Phra Rahu is associated with dispelling inauspicious influences and transforming misfortune into good fortune. Luang Pu Key passed away in B.E. 2558, making the Water Blessing B.E. 2557 edition from the final period of his life.
