Description
Phra Kring Pai Nirantarai is an auspicious object created by Luang Pho Seng of Wat Lam Sai, Songkhla Province, made in B.E. 2509. This Phra Kring is a metal amulet with gold plating, featuring a Buddha image in seated posture according to the style of Phra Kring, with bell pellets contained within the amulet. Luang Pho Seng, or Phra Kru Wichit Kit Jathorn (Seng), was a former abbot of Wat Lam Sai and an important reverend of Songkhla. He played a significant role in the administration of the monastic community, temple development, and the creation of auspicious objects. Many types of amulets attributed to him have been found, including coins, Phra Kring, and cast Buddha images. The name "Pai Nirantarai" holds meaning related to freedom from danger and misfortune.
