Description

Phra Lo Pim Luang Pho Pan, Pim Khi Krut amulet was created in B.E. 2508 by Luang Pho Mui Pasatiko, former abbot of Wat Don Rai in Suphan Buri Province, as a gift to those who participated in merit-making and as a keepsake to support the Buddhist religion. The amulet was inspired by Luang Pho Pan Sonantho's animal-motif designs from Wat Bang Nom Kho, which served as the prototype for this highly popular Phra Lo Pim amulet. Luang Pho Mui Pasatiko (B.E. 2443–2522) was the former abbot of Wat Don Rai and a renowned Buddhist scholar and master of Suphan Buri Province. He was deeply respected by Buddhists throughout the country and was invited to participate in the Buddhist consecration ceremonies of important auspicious objects many times during the 25th Buddhist century. The amulet features the Pim Khi Krut (Riding Garuda) design, one of the auspicious animal motifs inherited from Luang Pho Pan's style. The Garuda is a sacred creature in Hindu-Buddhist tradition and has appeared in Thai art for a long time.
