Phra Phong powder amulet with Phra Prathan design from Wat Tai Burparam in Surin province, created in B.E. 2514. It was blessed with compassion from Luang Pu Doon Atulo, a revered Buddhist monk of Wat Burparam, who participated in the Buddhist consecration ceremony. This is an auspicious object connected to one of the most highly respected Dharma masters of the Forest tradition in Thailand. Wat Tai Burparam is an ancient temple companion to the city of Surin, located in the original community area of the province, and has historical connections to Wat Burparam, an important temple where Luang Pu Doon spent Buddhist Lent for an extended period. Surin province is a land with a long history and cultural foundations that blend Thai, Khmer, and Lao traditions harmoniously. This has resulted in temples throughout the region having distinctive characteristics in both artistic and religious practices. Wat Tai Burparam is considered one of the important temples that has played a significant role in the local community for many years. Luang Pu Doon Atulo was an important disciple of Phra Ajahn Man Bhuridatto and is highly revered.
