Phra Sum Gor Nueang Wan by Luang Pho Phut, Wat Pa Salawan, Nakhon Ratchasima, B.E. 2533
Description
Luang Pho Phut Thanayo was an important meditation master of Northeast Thailand. He was born in B.E. 2464 and studied the ascetic practice in the forest tradition under the guidance of several accomplished teachers before becoming abbot of Wat Pa Salawan, Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. He was known for his teaching of meditation and ascetic practice, regularly delivering Dhamma sermons and instructing monks, novices, and laypeople in practice. His teachings were collected and preserved in considerable quantity. Amulets in Luang Pho Phut's lineage are found in various forms including coins, powder amulets, and different types of stamps. This B.E. 2533 edition was created during his lifetime, before Luang Pho Phut's passing in B.E. 2542.
