Description

Phra Yot Thong amulet in brass, commissioned by Luang Pho Bua of Wat Saeng Ha, Ang Thong Province in B.E. 2499. This is an early sacred object of the famous venerable monk of the Mun River region. The amulet is cast in the form of Phra Yot Thong, an ancient art form with a lineage tracing back to the Ayutthaya period. The distinctive features are the compact size of the amulet, cast in metal with a loop built into the piece for wearing as a pendant. Phra Yot Thong is considered an amulet found in both the Suthat temple tradition and ancient craftsman schools.
