Phra Sangkachai Maha Chok Lap - Luang Pu Kamphan B.E. 2539
Description
Luang Pu Kamphan was an important Buddhist elder of northeastern Thailand who played a significant role in spreading Buddhism and creating many amulets throughout his life. His amulets are found in various forms including coins, bells, powder amulets, and floating Buddha images. This Phra Sangkachai model is named "Maha Chok Lap" after the creation batch name, and is one of the amulets created in the late 2530s B.E., a period when Luang Pu Kamphan was still ordained and personally blessed the pieces with his compassion. Created by Wat That Mahajai and with direct involvement of Luang Pu Kamphan, the Phra Sangkachai Maha Chok Lap B.E. 2539 represents another significant work in the amulet lineage of this widely recognized Buddhist elder from Nakhon Phanom Province.
