Description
Phra Sangkachai Maha Mongkol created in B.E. 2528 under the direction of Somdet Phra Yana Sangworn, Somdet Phra Sangkharat Sakon Maha Sangkhaparinaiyok, while serving as abbot of Wat Boworniwet Viharn, Bangkok. The amulet is fashioned in the form of Phra Sangkachai, an Arahant revered in Theravada Buddhism, and represents a form of sacred object that has been continuously created by many lineages. This sacred object was created in the name of Wat Boworniwet Viharn, an important royal temple of Thailand, which has been closely connected to Thai monarchs and several Somdet Phra Sangkharat throughout the temple's history. Being created in B.E. 2528 and associated with Somdet Phra Yana Sangworn, this Phra Sangkachai Maha Mongkol represents a sacred object that reflects the creation history of Wat Boworniwet Viharn.
