Description
This Spider Wealth-Trap Coin was created in B.E. 2547 by Luang Pu Supha Gantasilo of Wat Silsupharam, Phuket Province. It is one of the auspicious objects distinguished by the symbol of a "spider," which was uniquely designed as the signature of this edition. This amulet is made of gold-leaf glazed material. Luang Pu Supha Gantasilo (B.E. 2438–2556) was a venerable monk of the Vipassana meditation tradition who lived to the remarkable age of 118 years. He wandered and studied the Dhamma under many senior monks in Thailand and neighboring countries before settling at and developing Wat Silsupharam in Phuket Province, where he established a center for Dhamma practice and the propagation of Buddhism in Southern Thailand.
