Description

This Somdej amulet of Luang Pu Du Promma Banyo is crafted from black copper and was commissioned in B.E. 2529 by Wat Han Kha in Ayutthaya Province to raise funds for temple renovation and development. The amulet carries the blessings of Luang Pu Du Promma Banyo of Wat Sak Gaek, who performed the dedication ceremony during the Buddhist consecration ritual. It is considered one of the sacred amulets in the "Awk Wat" (temple-issued) category, created during the final years of the Venerable Master's life. The amulet features the classic Somdej shape, a design long favored in Thai Buddhist amulet production. The obverse displays a portrait of Luang Pu Du, while the reverse bears the amulet series designation and the issuing temple. This reflects the artistic style characteristic of amulet-making in the 2520s decade. The black copper material was the standard alloy used for auspicious objects during that era. The black patina protects the metal surface and enhances the prominence of the struck details on the amulet's face. The surface condition of individual pieces varies according to usage and preservation.
