Luang Pho Khling B.E. 2521 Chiang Metal Coin Amulet - Wat Thhalung Thong

The Ko Huay coin amulet in Chiang metal was created in B.E. 2521 by Luang Pho Khling Chanthsiri of Wat Thhalung Thong, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Luang Pho Khling (B.E. 2445–2524) served as the abbot of Wat Thhalung Thong for many decades. He was renowned for his strict adherence to the Buddhist precepts and the practice of vipassana meditation. His reputation drew numerous disciples and supporters who came to commit themselves to his guidance and participate in the temple's merit-making activities. Sacred objects blessed by his spiritual intention were created in several editions during the final years of his life. This amulet series is known in amulet circles as the "Ko Huay coin." It was created to generate income for the temple's activities and underwent Buddhist consecration performed by Luang Pho Khling. This particular edition is cast in Chiang metal, a metal alloy that was widely favored for creating sacred amulets during the 1520s decade due to its distinctive color and unique metallic patina.
