Luang Pho Saiw Rahu Seima Coin, Wat Preedaram
Description
Luang Pho Saiw is a venerable master teacher of Wat Pridaram, highly respected by the people of Nakhon Pathom and surrounding areas. He played an important role in developing the temple and continuing Buddhist activities, making it a spiritual center for the community. Wat Pridaram, known locally as "Wat Yai Horm," is an ancient temple in Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, with a history spanning hundreds of years. Originally, it served as the center of a fruit orchard community along the canal in the Nakhon Chai Sri area. The temple contains numerous archaeological sites and religious structures reflecting Thai art from the Rattanakosin period. Throughout many eras, Wat Pridaram has played an important role in education, the propagation of Buddhism, and the preservation of local traditions of Nakhon Pathom. This amulet edition is crafted in the ancient Somdej style through traditional casting. The front features Phra Rahu, reflecting the Brahmin-Buddhist tradition that has been transmitted in Thai society for hundreds of years. The mixed metal composition provides the tactile surface and distinctive characteristics of ancient casting work, which has become highly popular among amulet collectors.
