Description

This is the first edition portrait amulet of Ajarn Chum Chaiyakiri, created in B.E. 2517. It is a commemorative amulet honoring lay practitioners who studied occult sciences and the creation of auspicious objects according to the teachings of the Khao Aw tradition in Phatthalung Province. Ajarn Chum was a native of Phatthalung Province and had connections with the lineage of teachers in the Khao Aw–Khao Chaison tradition, a local Southern Thai knowledge transmission lineage that passed down teachings in sacred scripts, numerological spells, herbal medicine, and ritual practices through both ordained monks and lay practitioners.
