Description

Luang Pho Saiw is a respected ecclesiastical master of Wat Preedaram, highly revered by residents of Nakhon Pathom and surrounding areas. He played an important role in developing the temple and continuing Buddhist activities to serve as a spiritual center for the community. Wat Preedaram, locally known as Wat Yai Hom, is an ancient temple in Samphran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, with a history spanning hundreds of years. Originally it served as the hub of a riverside orchard community in the Nakhon Chai Si area. The temple contains numerous historical monuments and sacred structures reflecting Thai art from the Rattanakosin period. Throughout its long history, Wat Preedaram has played an important role in education, propagating Buddhism, and preserving local traditions of Nakhon Pathom. This amulet series is crafted in an ancient Somdej casting style. The front features Phra Rahu, following the Hindu-Buddhist tradition that has been preserved in Thai society for hundreds of years. The mixed metal composition gives it the distinctive surface texture and characteristics of ancient casting work, which is highly appreciated by amulet collectors.
